The Henry Leonard Company est. 2017
/Founded in 2017 in Columbus Ohio, The Henry Leonard Company is a collaboration between three individuals each with a unique background and perspective on furniture design. We call ourselves the Craftsman, the Designer, and the Engineer.
Michael ‘The Craftsman’ Podrosky, was born and raised in Northern Ohio. Under the watchful eye of his father, a seasoned veteran of the woodshop, he spent many years learning and practicing the skills required to craft durable furniture from quality hardwoods. Over the years, Michael found ample opportunities to continue honing his skills, as his work was appreciated by family and friends. While his own personal style leans more traditional, what truly matters to him is the quality of the build. For ‘The Craftsman’, success is the sense of pride in knowing furniture built by his hands will be passed down for generations.
Toan ‘The Designer’ To, was born and raised in Saigon, Vietnam. The fast-paced, urban environment helped to nurture a passion for art and design, with a real focus on architecture and interior design. Pursuit of these passions led him to London, Milwaukee, and ultimately to Columbus, Ohio earning a degree in Architecture. His personal style can best be described as minimalist with influences from Daniel Libeskind, Frank Lloyd Wright, and Renzo Piano. For ‘The Designer’, success is the sense of joy created by truly original designs.
Patrick ‘The Engineer’ Montag, was born and raised in rural Wisconsin. He gained a strong appreciation for handiwork through his years in 4-H, working predominantly with wood and leather. With exposure to drafting classes in high school, a real passion for engineering emerged and led him to the Milwaukee School of Engineering. His career has been entirely focused on product development, designing anything from faucets to construction equipment. His personal style is simple and modern, with a special interest in unique functionality. For ‘The Engineer’, success is the sense of wonder created through clever engineering.
